[OOC]

Backtagging: Always okay
Threadjacking: Ask first, but usually fine
Fourthwalling: Yeah, that'd be kind of funny

[IC]

Hugging this character: Awkward, but he probably won't bite you for it
Kissing this character: He'll definitely pull away from that
Flirting with this character: If you are in for awkward times, but he may run and hide
Fighting with this character: Again, he will try to avoid fights as much as possible but if provoked he's pretty formidable
Injuring this character: I'm all for this. He'll, of course, not be. In any case, obviously ask first
Killing this character: Let's chat, new best friend!
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Ask first, but I'm happy to plot whatever

Helpful Info:

Fears:

Losing control of himself, chaos and disorder, dirt, inconvenience, abandonment

Weaknesses:

Much like an alcoholic, you could say Hal's addicted to blood. He doesn't like being around it because it tempts him to revert to the monster he was. Even hearing someone's heartbeat is enough to unnerve him. Drinking blood causes him to lose himself. Kia-Ora and other sugary drinks are similar in that they make him hyper and manic.

He's also dreadful at social interactions, mainly because he'd rather keep himself away from people to protect them and himself, but also because he's a bit of a prat. Pretty women were his main predilection when he was bloodthirsty so he's especially scared of prolonged interaction with them.

He's obsessive compulsive, brought on by his need for control over his environment and himself, and his time with Leo has instilled in him all sorts of little rituals including the extreme need for order and cleanliness. A dirty room will undo him unless he's able to tidy it up. He'll get stuck doing minute tasks until they're done perfectly. All the labels on the catsup bottles have to be facing the same way. And so on.

A stake to the heart will kill him, though because he's an Old One crosses, sunlight and the like don't affect him as they might younger vampires. Werewolf blood is like acid to a vampire, being extremely toxic and leaving burns wherever it touches skin.

Though it hasn't really been tested in canon, I'm going with he's not old enough to be able to walk into homes or private rooms uninvited. The only vampires we've seen do this in the show are either at least 1,000 years old or face severe physical damage.

Mundane Strengths/Abilities:
Hal's hobbies include embroidery, origami, and playing the piano and the lute. He's also got 500-ish years of life experience and the corresponding historical knowledge.

Sensitivity/Magical Ability:
Vampires from Hal's canon can see, speak to, and even be physically affected and touched by ghosts. In addition, they have extraordinary hearing and smell, able to actually hear the pulse of blood inside human veins and sniff out werewolves in human form. Vampires aren't required to eat or drink anything, including blood; it is more of an addictive substance to them that it is possible, but painful, to abstain from. Vampires cannot be photographed, captured on film, or seen in mirrors. They are able to heal quickly and completely from anything short of extreme injury or a staking. They have superhuman strength and endurance.

Reverse-permissions:

Hal is a vampire, and though he is struggling to get over his bloodthirst, sometimes he may... lapse a little. Please let me know your feelings on the following:

-Biting your character (Please specify if a) your char can be bitten; and b) how severe it can be. Vampire bites can range anywhere from a simple nick to complete drainage of blood. And as an added bonus option, siring!)

-Killing your character

-Re-arranging your character's sock drawer

-Entering a room your character lives in (Keep in mind he will have to be invited in to any private living quarters. Technical public spaces they are just bunking in would be exempt. So let me know if your character's sleeping area would canonically be off-limits and thus require invitation from your character for Hal to enter.)

Biting your character: I am okay with Jamie being bitten, but I would prefer it to be on the milder side of things at this point in time, at least without discussing stuff in advance.

Killing your character: Right now, I am not looking to kill off Jamie. However, if this changes I will definitely let you know!

Re-arranging your character's sock drawer: If he had a sock drawer Hal could rearrange it his heart's content. Since he doesn't, alas, I will simply say if there's anything else that might work along the same lines, have at it.

Entering a room your character lives in: Currently he doesn't have any private living quarters, just crash space in the Stables as weather permits. Again, if this changes I'll let you know.

Also if you are so inclined at some point, Jamie actually has a reverse permissions post of his own here because experiments are fun and I am terrible. But you knew that. :3

3 charaters, GO

- Biting: Sure, she's human enough. The three people linked to her and her monster probably wouldn't react well, though.
-Killing: Plotted reasons only.
-Socks: She owns like one set of socks.
-Room: I have no idea, ask Birdy.

[personal profile] kiziah Kiziah of Dahnil Clan
- Biting: She's not human, she's a descendant of big cats. Up to you what that'll do to him, but he can bite. (She bites back.)
- Killing: See above
- Socks: What are socks? :|
- Room: She has no set sleeping area.

[personal profile] fever_blistered_grin Dr. Simon Lee
- Biting: Simon gives people third degree burns if they touch him and can't turn it off. If he persisted, uh. Mouth full of lava?
- Killing: See above.
- Socks: One pair, never off his feet.
- Room: No set room, however he is Very Very territorial about any room that Jo Raven is sleeping in while she's sleeping there.

...honestly I'm actually generally OK with everything with mine, killing I'd usually plot ahead of time/do if a thread goes really epically wrong (which can be fun!).

Mukuro ([personal profile] vipassi) sort of lives in the Carpenter's Room, but the nature of the group that lives there makes it hazily public anyway. Giotto ([personal profile] passed_torch) doesn't really keep a specific room he sleeps in, he pretty much crashes whereer it seems quiet and unlikely to get attacked, so no worries crashing him. Kuja ([personal profile] silver_lucifer) is camping the costumed bedroom in the Third House, but again, I think most of the House is sort of hazily public? He just got here so he's not overly possessive of it, it's not "his" to him, it's where he's decided to home-base.

Soma [personal profile] eternal_night_ends is doing the same sort of mobile thing Giotto does and I may throw him at you at some point just b/c he's ... weirdly part vampire-ish (Castlevania is a messed up canon sometimes) and I want to fuck with his head by introducing him to every fluffy/non-malicious vampire in Portes.

Nobody has a sock drawer. Giotto is the only one with more than one set of clothes, and that's due to him picking up a penchant for wrecking his suits.

On the reverse side, a lot I can poke you over during-thread; Kuja has magic but downplays it, Giotto's OBNOXIOUSLY psychic and senses intentions/will/bits of emotional state/can ID people by their "presence", Mukuro is a gigantic ball of weird that depends on when you're talking to him, and Soma is Also Known As Derpula.

Biting your character; yes, with discussion first. We can see what ramifications are good for plot for both of us from there.

-Killing your character; Let's go with no right now! :O

-Re-arranging your character's sock drawer; .... stay out of a lady's sock drawer, you cad!

-Entering a room your character lives in; well, right now they're in the barracks, so that's public, so... yeah. No invite needed. It's not a 'home'.

Biting I am okay with Buffy being bitten (in fact it might be a lot of fun). Canonically she's been nearly drained and recovered entirely so I'd be okay with a pretty severe biting.

I'd rather John not be bit, but if you've got a plot idea I can work with that. He just won't deal with it as well as Buffy will.

Killing If there's a plot and it's relevant and it works, sure.

Re-arranging your character's sock drawer Yes please. They'd both be boggled in different ways.

Room entrance Not really relevant as they both sleep in public places.

NOW IN THE RIGHT FREAKING PLACE

Biting: I am a horrible person, and knock yourself out. I mean, ping me, but I'm a horrible person who loves hurting my babies.

Killing: Probably okay, ping me so we can talk it out!

Sock Drawer: Go for it, but Molly doesn't... actually have anything yet.

Entering a room: Whatever room Molly is crashing in, since she hasn't picked a room for herself yet, he is free to enter.
